Adaptation Driven Training
Developing hockey players requires understanding of the biomechanics and energy systems involved in the sport. At The Athlete Project our coaches have a wealth of knowledge and experience in developing hockey players.
To develop athletes in this sport takes an artful application of a multi-dimensional development strategy. This includes structural and tissue reconstruction and maintenance, high output speed and power training and strategic conditioning of the energy systems.
We use a year round long term athletic development model, applied to an athletes specific training needs, to optimize our training. The needs in season are very different to the needs of the off season.
The extreme stress a season puts on the body makes having a strength coach with extensive knowledge all the more important. Traditional bodybuilding or powerlifting methods can put athletes at risk for injury. They need a truly comprehensive and research driven approach to their training.
